FILHARMÒNICA DE CAMBRA DE CATALUNYA

The Chamber Philharmonic of Catalonia is formed by prominent musicians and soloists. The orchestra was born in December 2008 to play in a benefit concert promoted by the current artistic director, Jorge Uribe. The performance was an overwhelming success and the musicians decided to establish as a permanent orchestra.

The group's artistic courage has become obvious along the time and one cannot think about the FCC without mentioning the intensity of their interpretations, the complicity between the members and the carachteristic sound they have achieved.

The orchestra has distinguished itself by returning to the Baroque and Classical performance practice in which every musician is in fact a soloist and takes personal responsibility both for his own part and for the whole orchestra's musical interpretation.  In addition to this performance method, the Chamber Philharmonic of Catalonia often invites guest conductors to its podium having Diego Martin Etxebarria as its principal guest conductor.
